“The background on this publication is interesting. Gonzalo was a perio resident at Maryland – one of the best I have ever seen. His entire family are dentists. He moved back to Spain to work with his father. Ignacio is an orthodontist in Falls Church, VA.
Gonzalo presented this case during one of my Monday night ‘pizza sessions’ as a treatment planning exercise. We collaboratively came up with the idea of how to treat it by doing the PAOO, implant placement and 3shape ortho bracket placement and simulation all pre-treatment. Gonzalo did the surgery perfectly as well as Ignacio doing the ortho precisely. Alvaro restored it. As a teacher and friend to the Blazis, it is very rewarding to see the publication in print.”
